The Climate Justice & Resilience Facility for Africa (CJRFA)

DaleAgro was contracted to kickstart the implementation of the Climate Justice & Resilience Facility for Africa (CJRFA) which seeks to support innovative, rapid-response alternatives and “start-up” initiatives in Africa interested in locally-led adaptation.

DaleAgro evaluated the status of the stalled CJRFA Small Grants Programme (SGP), documented lessons learned, and recommended appropriate corrective measures to be considered in the current and subsequent phases.

DaleAgro further developed and validated the CJRFA-SGP strategy and Workplan and the supporting tools for Knowledge Management, Communication and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning for the next granting cycle.

DaleAgro also rolled out the implementation of the Workplan starting with developing tools for grantee invitation, selection, and performance assessment; and finally, establishing a clear governance framework for the CJRFA-SGP and a resource mobilization strategy for the facility.
